Featured above is a double portrait of American pop singer and songwriter Christina Aguilera [wikipedia]. It was created by Scottish digital artist johnx1 for a Freak Show contest on photoshop site FreakingNews, in July 2010.

The image uses Bouguereau’s 1871 painting Frère et sœur Bretons (Breton Brother and Sister), in which both the sister and the little brother portray Christina Aguilera; hence the title Cristina Mini Me. The Coca Cola can is a reference to Aguilera’s sponsorship deal with the makers of the fizzy drink.

Below you can compare the original version with the remastered edition. Click the first to visit the gallery where you will find ten more contemporary versions of Bouguereau’s work. Click the second to view Cristina Mini Me on FreakingNews. The third image shows the real Christina Aguilera.
