Not all Remastered Bouguereaus on this site are photoshopped works. Many artists use traditional tools to create contemporary versions of Bouguereau’s classic paintings. Case in point is Emma (surname unknown), publishing as nimroderriver on DeviantArt. Currently a Fine Art student in England, she aspires to become a concept artist.

Emma drew the portrait shown above (view on deviantArt), and proves that it only takes a few pencil strokes to create artwork that breathes life. Her drawing is inspired by Bouguereau’s 1898 study of a young girl’s head. Below you can compare the original with the remastered version.
