A (Very) Liberal Bouguereau Interpretation

This image is a not a true Remastered Bouguereau, it’s rather a piece of artwork inspired by the old master. It was created by Rhode Island-based DeviantArt member sjm1010. In his own words:

Nymphes et Satyre, by the master William Bouguereau is my influence for this piece. Bouguereau is one of my most if not my most favorite artist of the masters.

This a vain attempt at best but I am attempting to create the same soft features and realistic poses that Bouguereau commands throughout his wondrous painting. Next time I will attempt a more painted effect and learn more blending techniques in order to capture him even further.

Below you can compare the original work with this modern interpretation (view on DeviantArt). Click any image to visit the gallery where you can find many more contemporary versions of the original painting.
