“In our days many women are more concerned with fighting off time instead of Cupid’s arrow.” Those are the words of Australian graphic artist and musician Tristan Grindrod (aka TR¥§T onMySpace, houseoftryst on DeviantArt, and using his own name on Facebook). He is the creator of this image (Le Temps), which is a homage to William Bouguereau’s 1880 painting “Jeune fille se défendant contre L’amour” (Young Girl Defending herself against Cupid). The technique used was a mixture of a graphite sketch, which was scanned and painted in PainterX.
