In case you didn’t know: June 27 is Sunglasses Day. To celebrate Sunglasses Day at Freaking News, digital artists were invited to “add any kinds of sunglasses to works of art and movies“. The Sunglasses for Masses contest drew 42 entries, two of which were Remastered Bouguereaus. The one shown above was created by rwpike and won the third prize.

The image is based on Bouguereau’s 1898 painting Tête de jeune fille (Head of a young girl). Below you can compare the two versions.
