Bouguereau Clinches Hollywood Deal

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is due out in 2009, Bouguereau wanted one of his art subjects in it, and was pleased to see they accepted his offer.

The picture shown above was the Silver Award winner in a Cinema Pygmalion contest on Worth1000 in August 2008. In this contest, digital artists were asked to take people or objects from famous works of art and include them in a scene from a familiar movie. This photoshopped version, created by wannabe, is based on a scene from a Harry Potter movie, and Bouguereau’s 1882 painting Les Noisettes (Hazelnuts). Both originals are shown below (click to access the Hazelnuts gallery):
