In August 2009, photoshop contest site Worth1000 organized the fifth edition of their popular GhostRen contest.

“Your challenge is to create a ghostly image in a classical work of art. Your “ghosts” must be original to the painting – no pasting figures from other images and lowering their opacities. This contest will test your cloning ability, as well as your imagination. Dazzle us.”

The contest drew no less than 69 entries, seven of which were Remastered Bouguereaus. There were no winners among them, and three were very similar to entries in previous contests.
