Shown here is a dramatic photo montage created by Flickr member hugh man. The title “inferno moderno” is probably derived from the Bouguereau painting in the background, Dante et Virgile aux Enfers (Dante and Virgil in Hell, 1850). The picture caption “Romanticism has never been properly judged. Who was there to judge it? The critics!” is a quote from Arthur Rimbaud.
