This child in Madonna’s arm is not a nice kid. It’s an Evil Baby, armed with a dangerous dagger. In March 2009, Worth1000 challenged digital artists to photoshop a given picture of a young child in any way they liked. The contest generated over sixty entries. The one shown above, made by the Australian artist FlashDaz, didn’t win a prize but is definitely a Remastered Bouguereau. The image is based on the French painter’s 1893 work L’innocence (Innocence).

Shown below are the original picture of the baby and a detail of Bouguereau’s Innocence. Click each to see them in larger sizes.

The same Bouguereau painting has been used for many other contemporary versions. Click to view the gallery here on Bouguereau Remastered.

There is a new room in hell being constructed for the poor soul who was stupid enough and vile enough to produce this desecration. I pity him.
