Chinese singer and actress Ziyi Zhang [wiki] is rapidly conquering the international movie world. Already a star in her native China, she is now poised to become a celebrated Hollywood actress. Shown above is Ziyi Zhang in a Remastered Bouguereau.

The image was created by Brazilian digital artist Mandrak for a Celebrity Time Travel contest on Worth1000 in November 2009. Photoshoppers were challenged to “place a celebrity in any time period and setting foreign to their own, adapting the dress and styles of the time period“. Mandrak’s entry, based on Bouguereau’s 1895 portrait of Madam the Countess of Cambaceres won the first prize in that contest.
