Thanks for including my painting Tuna among the La Vague remasters. I personally think Bouguereau would be flattered, just as I would be in my art my remastered. Chill out haters--art is broadly defined and meant to provoke feelings. What you feel is up to you.

Check out my other remastered or otherwise inspired paintings on my website and Facebook.

"Here, you will discover artwork that never ceases to amaze you."

Or disgust you. What, exactly, is the point of disfiguring Bouguereau's wonderful work? Doesn't it get a little old after a while?

Yes John, us peeps reinterpreting the master are totally in awe him. Really pleased to see my graffiti version here! Art and music is constantly being reinvented, and I have a hunch that Bouguereau would have been thrilled at seeing his work still alive.

I just love this site, we are the producers of the very finest Bouguereau reproductions and its obvious that the guys producing these reinterpretations love the master too. Some of you need to take the stick from up your arse and lighten up, Billy Boy wouldnt want you so glum LOL.

I think bouguereau.net is doing a fine job of displaying some brilliant chops paying homage to a great master. I was surprised to find a few of mine on this site. I love reworking Bouguereau masterpieces.

Thanks for sharing,

OMGOMGOMG, my super lame manipulation is listed here (The Abduction of Psyche, with Ben Barnes' face in it)! Hahahahahah, this is soooo coooool! And such a good surprise!

Seriously, I don't know why people gets so angry and offended about those new manips and re-creations using Bouguereau masterpieces. Why people don't understand LULz? Or paying a homage? I bet Mousieur B. would understand it. And I'm sure he would see Art through many of those reworks (specially the digital ones). Naturally, I'm not refering to my manip, which had no artistic intentions - Oh, I wish I could create some real Art! I'm not making any money with my manips, they are exclusively for the fun and for the practicing of my manipulation "skills".

Hope more people come here to see these galleries! ^_^/

Thank you and best regards, Romke!

A minor technical detail; my Stenvall-Bouguereau hybrid is a (digital) painting made from scratch, not a photoshopped image in the sense the word is commonly used (a manipulation of existing images) =)
