Impossible Encounters 3: Bouguereau Meets Wyeth

American painter Andrew Newell Wyeth (who died earlier this year) was a realist painter, who enjoyed great popularity with the American public. One of his best known works is the 1948 painting Christina’s World [wiki], depicting a young paralyzed woman crawling across a field.

For a photoshop contest on Worth1000, digital artist EyEars merged Wyeth’s masterpiece with Bouguereau’s 1865 painting Rest in Harvest, resulting in a creation, entitled Other World, where both works harmoniously blend together. (Note how the blue dress in Bouguereau’s painting turned pink in the mash-up.)
