In January 2010, photoshop site FreakingNews celebrated Bean Day:

Every once in a while, you come across a special day that just doesn’t seem to have any rhyme or reason. Bean Day appears to be one of those days. Bean Day is a day of unknown origin, and unknown cause. But, since January 6th is also Rowan “Mr. Bean” Atkinson’s 55th birthday, we suggest that you photoshop Rowan Atkinson any way you want.

The contest drew no less than 61 entries, two of which were Remastered Bouguereaus. The image shown above won the third prize. It was a creation by digital artist spitfire46 , inspired by Bouguereau’s 1884 work La leçon difficile (The difficult lesson). Below you can compare the two versions. Also shown is the second Remastered Bouguereau in the contest, which didn’t win any prize.
